Artist Research - Joanna Kustra

In this photo shoot, Joanna Kustra made pastel colours the main subject of the photographs. The colours are very pale, and mainly pink, with a contrasting blue background. I have decided to have my own photo shoot similar to this one, also using pinks, pastel colours and a blue background.

What I could improve on in this photo shoot, is I could play around with the lighting a bit more to make the skin more pale, like in the original photos. I could have also tried getting a real life blue background instead of photoshopping it because it could have possibly looked a lot better.

Artist Research - Joanna Kustra Plan

For this photoshoot, I will need to organise a date for the shoot and find a model. I will also need to sort out a coloured wig / hair extensions to make my photo fit in with the artist's photos, or I could possibly stick with the model's hair. I would also need to find washable hair pastels to temporarily colour the hair of the model.

I will need to find pastel coloured clothes for the model because the photographer's photos are called "Sweet Pastel", and the pastel colours are the main subject of the photographs, and they make the photos unique.

The date of my shoot will be on the 24th of January. Before the shoot, I will collect clothes which fit the photo shoot and I will spend time editing the photos to make them look like they have been inspired by the artist.
