Cyanotype

Bokeh

These are examples of Bokeh images created by other artists. I will be using them for inspiration.

bokeh From what I’ve read here and here, the equation is your lens focal length (so 50mm in my case), divided by your maximum aperture (1.8 in my case) gets you 27.7mm, which is the max size that the hole can be and still be effective.:

This picture has amazing transition from the clarity on the right to the blurriness on the left it ll blends and works so well together #semiphoto: How to Capture Striking Silhouettes in 7 Easy Steps (With 10 Stunning Examples) via @Light Stalking:

My Photos

These are the Bokeh images that I have taken using fairy lights around a christmas store. The circles were created by using manual focus to completely blur the lights.

The next thing that I could do and improve on, is use Bokeh in an actual image, like the images above mine. For example, I could put a model in front of the fairy lights and using a high depth of field, focus only on the model creating an interesting background.

Artist Research Contact Sheets

These are all of the images that I have taken during my artist research photo shoot.

Chemograms

These are the chemograms that I have made using light sensitive photo paper, water and developer. The white highlights are the places that have been covered with water and light couldn't get through to them, but the black space has been exposed to light.

HDR

HDR

HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and refers to a scene that includes both bright and dark elements -- the sun, reflecting off water, with deep shadows in the tree lines, or even a regularly lit person standing against the glare of an open window.
